HOW TO COOK ROAST BEEF (Dory style ;) )
How I make my roast beef………………………
1. Look at the instructions on the packet
2. Ignore the instructions on the packet, as my oven is a rebel and so am I
3. Put it in a tray with lots of oil (vegetable or sunflower)
4. Put it in the middle of the oven on a low heat (150 on ours is lowish)
5. Leave until the smoke alarm goes off………………..wait, no, no, actually leave for about an hour
6. Check it’s not burning
7. Put the hot oil over the beef, using a safe thing like a spoon
8. Burn self while trying to put the oil over the beef, and hurt self on spoon………
9. Put back into oven, catching top of hand on seriously hot top shelf of oven
10. Leave for another hour, or until the smoke alarm goes off
11. Check to seef if it’s cooked
12. If it’s cooked, take it out
13. If it’s not cooked, leave it in, forget about it, take it out when smoke alarm goes off, or when child or other half mentions they can smell burning.

In other news, here in England we are in lockdown, but the vaccine is being rolled out to people now, I think the over 40s are next (so my turn soon!) People seem to be mostly being sensible, but there’s a big sense of apathy in the air, which is not good when you’re an empath.
Teenpanda is now 28, he’s not been a teen for quite some time. 😉 He’s living with his fiancee, she’s lovely. They now have a fur-baby he’s an 8 year old kitty cat.
It will be Mr. Pandas 50th birthday this month, unfortunately I can’t do anything that I’d planned on doing, as I don’t have enough money for some things, and of course some places are closed. Fortunately (as he’s a jammy so and so) we’ll have the ‘rule of 6’ by then, where 6 people can meet up outdoors, so at least we can do something. I’ve bought him a few presents, so hopefully he’ll like them, techinically he’s bought them himself, but I chose them. 😉
I don’t think there’s much else been going on that I can think of. Sooooo, I shall say TTFN WordPressland.

Hello children everywhere, my name is Dory and I am a helper for Father Christmas (Santa Claus).
Some of you are worried that Santa won’t be able to make it to you, because of the virus, but don’t worry, because Santa is magical! He is immune to every single disease you can think of.
Santa is also allowed to go wherever he wants to, because he has a special global passport so that he can be allowed anywhere during Christmas time.
So children, please don’t worry, and don’t forget that the main place you’ll find the Christmas spirit is in your own heart.

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. Things are going ok in Doryworld, well sort of. My Dad had a fall last Wednesday and cracked three ribs, but he seems ok. The rest of the family seem ok. My youngest nephew turned ten in October and my niece turns eight later this month. (They belong to RieRie).
Teenpanda is now twenty seven, so hasn’t been a teen for some time, but he’s still Teenpanda, because that’s what interwebland knows him as. Teenpanda is still with his wonderful fiance, who today I shall call Kittypanda. They’re doing well.

“A person cannot claim Marriage Tax Allowance if they are not married, even if they have been living as married for a long time. A person cannot claim Universal Credit, if they live with a partner, whether they are married or co-habiting. We believe this unfair and may, in some circumstances lead to financial difficulties for co-habiting couples.
Any income-related benefit is based on household income. Marriage tax allowance is not technically a benefit because it reduces the tax you pay, rather than paying you extra income.
Marriage tax allowance should be available for couples counted as having a joint income for benefit purposes.
It is unfair that a couple’s joint income is considered for one thing but not another. A co-habiting couple should be counted either separately or as a single entity. It should not be a case of counting as a couple for some things and not for others.
Even if there is a minimum amount of time that you have to be living together, and a document to confirm the relationship (these would be equivalent of requirements for married couples), long-term co-habitees should have the same recourse to marriage tax allowance as married couples”.

In other news:
As I mentioned last time I was here, I took voluntary redundancy and was planning on setting up and running a shop/training centre, well due to circumstances beyond my control, that’s not happened (yet).
I’m currently looking for a part time job that I can fit round my online shop, as it takes a long time to add designs. Please keep your fins crossed that I’ll find something soon.

I have been furloughed for a few weeks, and now have taken voluntary redundancy, as the business needed to make a lot of cuts. So, as I’m not one to rest on my laurels, I have decided to set up a shop and training centre in my home town. I am looking at Crowdfunding and hopefully will raise enough to set up and run the business.
I realised I have over twenty years retail experience, this includes management and training, so I thought it would be a good idea to set up a shop that was also a training centre, for people to train/retrain in retail. I am planning on selling mostly my own designs, but also designs by local people, it will mainly be a clothes shop, but we will be supporting local artists/designers/etc as much as we can.
